My name is Wiktoria and from the age of 11 I have been suffering and waiting for an endometriosis diagnosis. Just like thousands of other women, my healthcare experience has been a negligent one. Unfortunately, women’s healthcare is still poorly researched and misunderstood leaving many women in chronic pain and no support or help from doctors or GPs. This can have a massive impact on our quality of life and mental health leaving us to fight our battle alone. I’ve felt helpless, lonely, frustrated and most of all exhausted from having to fight to be heard leaving me thinking “why does no one want to help me?” I am only 18 and all these years no one has taken me seriously or showed any serious empathy while my symptoms were brushed off as ‘normal.’ There is nothing normal about living in chronic pain let alone without an explanation. My symptoms are difficult to manage, and medication wasn’t helping.
This is why I created this business in hopes of helping other women with their symptoms too. Being Polish I was raised to practice natural medicine to heal the body and keep healthy such as herbs, plants, oils etc. While waiting for a diagnosis I have suffered symptoms such as bloating, abdominal cramps, inflammation, insomnia, extreme fatigue, nausea and anxiety. Since UK healthcare was not giving me the care that I needed I decided to embrace what I had been taught and make my own solutions to ease these symptoms – and any other generic ailments of mine. Although these are not cures and they take time and consistency to be effective they have made this battle of mine easier to manage.
